I am the area controller of the Nigeria Board of Customs and Excise in charge of South East Zone with Enugu as the Headquarters.

So at the end of last quarter and being the officer in charge of revenue I decide t declare only US$60.2 MILLION, which we statutorily set aside for refund to importers who were charged excess duties.

Now what I want you to do is to send an application for refund of excess duty amounting to US$20.7 MILLION to my office or you forward a blank sheet of your company's letter Headed paper to me for that purpose and also enclose details of your Bankers where I will pay the refund to. The details will authorize my office to pay your company, will be in the guise that your company was charged excess duty cause the money to be remitted straight into your nominated accounts.

THE RATIO OF DISBURSEMENT WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:
The Account Owner (YOU) will have 30% of the total amount remitted
5% has been earmarked for expenses
While 65% will be for me and my officers
